So we have postponed the tentatively planned Saturday Socialising 'til next weekend as
PreZ mentioned here. Of course people are still welcome to show up. Those that do get cookies :D I'm making ANZAC biscuits, because I like them and because I'm bored. I might even bake scones afterwards. Whee.
Just don't show up early, we'll be sleeping late :P
Today's two finger salute goes to the post office.
We have a mailbox. I don't check the mailbox that frequently, usually because there's barely anything that gets sent there and I just forget. For some reason, unknown to sane people, the people at the post office have decided that they need to keep cramming weekly local papers and circulars into our mailbox, long after it has become plainly obvious that the thing is full. You'd think the fact that there are still old circulars and papers in there would give them a clue, that maybe we're not that interested in that stuff that we don't care if they don't give us this week's if there's really no room. But no. So sometimes it might have been a few weeks since I last checked, and then I have to pull what can only be described as a paper brick out of the mailbox... The fact that they manage to cram so much into that small little box still astounds me, as does the fact that they still do even when it's full. I could tell it was sticking out of the box on their side by several inches, they can't be that obtuse?
