Parts replacement
Jun. 17th, 2003 05:42 pmThis weekend I got exceedingy annoyed with my speakers, yet again, due to loud cracking and other static noise whenever I tried to turn the volume up even a fraction. When your volume goes up from like 25 to 98 with an increment that should at most get you from 25 to 30 or so it's not good for your hearing or nerves. The problem has just gotten worse over the time that I've had the speakers, they were okay initially, even if the first set was wonky and got replaced within a week.
So PreZ ordered me new speakers over the weekend. Hopefully they'll be here by mid-week.
[review]Altec Lansing speakers suck. Avoid.[/review]
PreZ also got me an RMA number for my videocard, so that goes back to the manufacturer tomorrow too. I think that pretty much completes all the replaceable parts on my computer. Hopefully after that I can actually sit at my computer and have it start up first of all, then be able to do stuff without it locking up with odd pixelated crap on the screen and be able to listen to music without going deaf due to the sonic boom that occurs when I try to tweak the volume a little.
Computers hate me.
