Capitol Steps
Sep. 1st, 2003 03:56 amOn a kind of spur of the moment thing we decided in the wee hours of Saturday night/Sunday morning to head out to see the Capitol Steps on Sunday night with Cherie managing to have someone arrange some last minute auxilliary seating in the back. It was loads of fun to see them again with new and updated satire about the current political stuff. Last year we saw it when
ddurkee was over for a visit the 4th of July weekend.
After the show we met up with a friend of Cherie's, who is one of the cast. T.W. was generous enough to give me 2 cd's with previous shows on them, one being the cd of "When Bush Comes to Shove" which was last year's show, the other from the year before that. Cherie, thank him again when you talk to him! :)
Then off back to Joisey and one of it's many diners for dinner/breakfast and chatter. Cherie lent me her LotR:FotR boxed set that we can watch while she's in W. Virginia visiting friends.
No set plans for the Labor Day day off... possibly another trip down to Joisey if Kit's so inclined for company (and the fitting that needs to be done). But first sleep to be had.
Cherie mentioned that this upcoming weekend is Broadway on Broadway which is sounding very appealing indeed, even with the prospect of waiting a while and big crowds... I still wanna see! Must work on persuading PreZ though... Kit, wanna go too? :P
