Spent the afternoon with
Cherie which was fun. Though we missed seeing her show because we showed up a little too late at her house. So we went straight to the London Food Co. instead and spent too much money on not enough English food. Also picked up a few accoutrements for Halloween... I want to have a small Halloween gathering on the Saturday afternoon after Halloween (All Saint's Day, Nov 1st)... I'll be harrassing those few friends we have about that via email soon :)
Other than that we just had "linner" at the diner and vegged out at Cherie's place. Picked up some cable crap at Radioshack so Cherie and her roommate's computers can now be online at the same time. The roommate now slows the dial-up to a pathetic crawl for Cherie (a whopping 280 bytes/s) because she's downloading as many songs as she can lay her hands on. Dial-up sucks, and I'm so glad we don't have to deal with that anymore.
Had maple tea and treacle sponge pudding from a can and watched Blow. What a sad movie... George Jung had no luck whatsoever, poor bastard.
Cherie also showed me the Entertainment Weekly which had the picture of Neil Gaiman in it where he'd clenched so much that he'd bitten his tongue so that the tip turned black. Hot damn... he looks like he escaped from some kind of spy movie. It's so not him, but a very impressive picture nonetheless. Nice coat too.
So Monday is Columbus day, and the tv ads for mattrasses seem to blather on about it being a national holiday, but nobody I know actually has the day off. Fucking useless holiday that is :P
Anyway, went to bed too late last night, and got up too early, so now's a good time to exit towards the land of nod.
