Chilling

This cold weather can go away now. I'm sick of the central heating induced dry itchy skin, the dry lips, the near constant thirst... even with moisturising and imbibing plenty of fluids. Going outside I can pretty much feel the mucous membranes inside my nostrils freezing up, as well as skin almost feeling like it's going to split and peel right off your face. Even if the filter in the humidifier wasn't in dire need of replacing, I don't think it would be able to keep up with the drought in the house.

I was not built for weather that's -16C (4F) with windchill kicking it down to -24C (-11F). The weather report yesterday said 'bitterly cold', the one today said 'brutally cold'. Brutal is about right.
