To give you an idea of how bad it was around here:

At one point, a couple of cars were even seen floating on Route 119, a main east-west artery, the police said.

The 119 is the road just outside of town here that I couldn't get on this afternoon...

I think PreZ is working from home tomorrow, seeing as the weather forecast predicts showers and some thunderstorms tonight, possibly with high volumes of rain. And this forecast carries on through Thursday and Friday.

PreZ also just caught on the local tv news that pretty much every major and minor road around our town got closed, and some of them are still closed. With the other showers and such forecast, as soon as one drop starts falling out of the sky, I'm sure they're going to be blocking them off again, seeing as everything is still saturated from the 3 inches in 6 hours we got slammed with today.

As a result, I think I might postpone my trip to the lab for bloodwork, which I was going to do tomorrow in White Plains, and I'll need to give the midwife a call and see if we should probably reschedule Friday's appointment for Tuesday or so (Monday being the 4th of July).

[livejournal.com profile] daskreestof if you were planning on coming by here tomorrow, you might want to reconsider. Ditto your other appointments up in this area that you usually have before you drop by our place on Thursdays.

Yes, the site is dead, including everything that runs on that box.

[livejournal.com profile] prez is looking into it at the moment.

I have no idea what exactly is wrong with it, or when it'll be fixed. However, I get the feeling that you don't need to expect it to be soon.

Updates will be posted as they're forthcoming.
