annuinOne of the newbies on the Forums asked how he should host a birthday party now that he was having his first birthday as a goth.
Argh!!
One of the responses to that which I enjoyed was:
"You're obviously confusing us with Jehovah's Witnesses. You must realize we're not a religion. We listen to a specific type of music and have a penchant for odd clothing. That's about it."
Of course a simplification, but true enough. This isn't one of our more clued-in newbies, so simple works best.
Where do these people get the idea that you need to have different birthday parties when you're goth all of a sudden?
Though the more tongue in cheek responses were quite funny... like Gothic Twister in the cemetary with the spots in shades of grey ;) Or Goth piñatas.
