I thought Marvin was too tall too. I had seen pictures of him before and thought he was cute, but was shocked that he was as tall as Trillian.
I'm a fan, and I liked the movie. I didn't love it, but I liked it. It lacked the zest (good word there) of the books and the radio shows, but it was funny in parts.
