My maternal grandmother used olive oil as a belly oil for all 3 pregnancies, and just kept on using it every day until Alzheimer's set in, and nary a single stretch mark on the woman. You could add essential oils to that and come up with lots of good smells :)
I like liquid castile soap for handwashing (and body washing, and hair washing) because a) it's very simple and pure, b) it's incredibly cheap to buy large bottles of it, c) you can add your own essential oils to it. Dr Bronner's is great - when we go camping, I add eucalyptus, rosemary, and tea tree oil to the peppermint liquid soap, and we use it every day. We don't get bitten by insects, who hate all of those oils - but humans say we smell good :) (I did once attend an outdoor handfasting wearing a combination of patchouli, vanilla, amber, and sandalwood essential oils. This was a huge mistake. The insects wouldn't leave me alone - I had ants swarming my feet.)
