hm! I've recently been indulging in a nice little rare books store (that honest to god, sells their excellent books really cheaply).
Among the titles I acquired are: -Mimekor Yisrael, Classical Jewish Folktales. -Egon Wellesz, A History of Byzantine Music and Hymnography. -Deirdre David, Intellectual Women and Victorian Patriarchy. -K.K. Aziz, Aga Khan III: Selected Speeches and Writings of Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah.
...but now I'm just showing off. :P More to the point, I picked up a book which I thought you might be interested in-- The Virago Book of Erotic Myths and Legends (http://www.virago.co.uk/virago/meet/husain_extract.asp) by Shahrukh Husain. A lovely little collection--the ancients wrote them well. :")
In fact, it seems to me that her other books are pretty much as interesting.
