Put in an order for Poppy Z. Brite's forthcoming short story collection The Devil You Know and CaitlĂn R. Kiernan's chapbook Waycross today with Subterranean. They're having some great specials, today's was 50% off a single forthcoming book... which is good as the most expensive book of the two weighs in at $40 and is the one eligible for the discount. Limited editions are an expensive habit.

The cd's I bought on ebay on the weekend arrived, as did our order of coffee from New Orleans... yummy!

(1292-1358) At first, Isabella was a perfect princess: accomplished, pretty, young, and the oldest daughter of the King of France. But an inept, uncaring, homosexual husband (edward ii) pushed Isabella a bit too far, and she led a rebellion with her lover against Edward II. When it succeeded in putting her son on the throne, the ungrateful child put her in prison for the rest of her life-- 28 years.

which art movement are you?

Founded by a bunch of Englishmen in 1848, "The group popularized a theatrically romantic style, marked by great beauty, an intricate realism, and a fondness for Arthurian legend." (artcyclopedia.com.) Creative license is taken here; not all Pre-Raphaelite art was dark, mediaeval, and deathly serious, like you are. But there were a lot of drowned maidens, and you'd like that.
Famous Pre-Raphaelites: Waterhouse, Millais, Rossetti, and You.
