I wanted to email them and thank them for perpetuating idiotic stereotypes, but I can't even be bothered.
It would take too much time out of my life trying to explain that even though some of those Slipknot kiddies call themselves Goth they don't have a fucking clue about the subculture either.
Plus it's not like a tabloid like that is ever going to rectify the mistake, or care. And most punters don't read rectifications anyway... this kind of thing just justifies whatever misguided ideas they already have... they don't want that refuted.

The general public are a bunch of morons. I own about a dozen classical discs, and various orchestral based soundtrack disks. If those morons wanted to scare me away they'd have to pull out something seriously distasteful,....like Britany, Christina, Jennifer, or Julio.
That article just made my day!! Chances are the goths outside enjoyed the music more than your average yutz walking down the street too. On one level the article was rather painful and poorly researched (anyone ever heard of researching shit before it goes into a newspaper? The do it for every other group of people on the planet they write an article about.)
God this was funny. Unfortunately I walked away from reading that feeling stupider. :s
