I have a friend who used to work for Amazon, and every year she chastises me for not pre-ordering it. :p

There's a part of me that trills at heading to a bookstore at midnight to pick up an eagerly anticipated book. I mean, that's behavior we associate with movies, music, concerts, even video game consoles, but never books. It's too much for my nerdy soul to resist.

Plus, it's cute to see all the kids (and teenagers) all hyped up about the book. It helps me to geek out over it further.
