I can see why people would wait until their thirties, but I honestly believe that I probably would have rotted my liver away if left to my own devices for an extra decade. Well, not quite, but you know what I mean.
I'm so with you on the child who can already walk. Della's been attention seeking a bit, but she's old enough that she can be helpful and we can divert her attention seeking into helpful behaviours. I mean, sometimes it's not actually helpful, but it's a sweet deal when I can just say 'No, take yourself to the toilet' when I'm feeding George rather than, say, having to drop everything and take her like I would have if I'd had George a year ago.
