Mozilla Thunderbird users out there?

Pros? Cons?

Honestly, I'd shy away from Thunderbird.

I'm a Mozilla freak, but thunderbird just isn't ready yet. I'd use Eudora or just get the entire Mozilla package instead of Thunderbird.

I don't want the entire Mozilla suite. Too much bulk. I'm happy using Firefox, and I'd like to swap out my current email client, but in light of what you said I might just wait a while until Thunderbird is more ready.

Thunderbird is quite stable, but also quite memory hungry, and rather sluggish.

If you're looking for a Windows mail client, Pegasus is still the king even though there are a bunch of Outlook zealots about.

The latest Opera mail client is also kickass but I haven't managed to convince myself to use it since it would only be for work, and I'm thoroughly addicted to KMail at home due to the superior integration aspect.

I use Outlook Express at the moment. The other day it decided some of my .dbx files of mail folders are corrupt and it won't read them. Now, I can extract all the mail from them, that's not really a problem (just a huge pain in the ass).

I'm just interested in what else is out there. Because I like Firefox I decided to have a look at Thunderbird. It has a similar layout to OE, so that was good, but if it's bloated and memory chomping, I'll steer clear.

Thanks for the other suggestions though.

I have never heard of KMail - but I am curious to what it is? :)

Oh, it's just the KDE default mail client. Since I use KDE it makes sense to use KMail too because I get the integration for free. I heard at some point that somebody was porting it to Windows though, so there is hope there yet.

I have used Outlook Express, the big Outlook, Eudora and THunderbird. I am kind of addicted to Outlook, but also do want to get rid of it because it's Microsoft LOL. I installed THunderbird a fwe weeks ago and used it for a while.. and kind of like it. I switched back to Outlook out of lazyness though.. I had no time to sort out my old e-mails and import them into THunderbird! And there is this one thing that I have not quite figured out yet.. I make use of several e-mailaddresses/and accounts and instead of having all emails arrive in one inbox, Thunderbird seems to make seperated inboxes. Even if you set it to have all come in in the standard one, it still shows the others.. and that I did not like. but then again I have not put to much time in sorting the program out so who knows it's possible otherwise.

You could always try Thunderbird and ditch it if you don't like it :)
Pegasus is a good one as well I heard.. And I am curious to what Kmail is so I am going to ask that person above me who wrote about it:)

I think Kmail is a Linux client, though I'm not entirely sure. But I know there's a Linux suite that's K*something*, which is what I'm basing my guess on.
