We seem to be reliving this incident a lot: http://www.livejournal.com/users/prez/10302.html and with the same people too.

And it's starting to piss me off, because after so many excuses that were/are becoming increasingly harder to swallow, it's quite obviously becoming a load of horseshit.

I'd much prefer some honesty than being fed the same old line of bollocks every single time. If you're not interested in hanging out, fine, just stop pretending you want to get together and stop blowing us off numerous times afterwards when we actually try and pin down a date or occasion.
