Home Again

Home again.

Very tired. Red-eye flight. No sleep on plane. 6am arrival. Argh!

NYC. Humidity. Rain. Bleh. Rental car. $$$!!. Peak hour traffic.

Fried DSL router. No internet. ISP out of replacement stock. 3 day or more wait. Dial-up "quick fix". Ordered parts online instead. Thursday delivery.

Dial-up.

&#!@%*$&!

No more Los Angeles. Sad. No more [livejournal.com profile] strigoiimorte & [livejournal.com profile] djbloodrose. More sad. Had much MUCH fun though! L.A. plans fermenting. Muhahahaha.

Vegetating. HP movie. Sleep. Ta-ta for now.

You didn't rent a car to get home did you?!

[identity profile] tanthe.livejournal.com 2004-09-01 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes we did. We figured you had no transport, and there was nobody else to ask seeing as I believe Kreestof is still in NC. Public transport was something we wanted to avoid, what with the RNC being on, as well as the US Open, and a home game for both the Mets and Yankees on Tuesday.

Was renting a car cheaper then a taxi or limo service?

[identity profile] tanthe.livejournal.com 2004-09-01 11:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not sure... probably not by all that much... mostly because it was a one-way rental, which is more expensive than one where you return it to the same place you rented it.

A taxi might have incurred more costs because the meter keeps running during the time you're stuck in traffic too.

Ah well, c'est la vie.

Welcome back!

You could probably do with a break to recover from the holiday you just had:-)

Heh, probably... it didn't help that we slept on the amazing deflatable bed, which meant for slightly less restful sleep than we would have wanted. But we had a great time regardless.
