Injury Photo Log?
Oct. 15th, 2004 02:53 pmI think I need to start keeping a karate injury photo log. And that's just for the visible stuff, as a fractured rib like the one PreZ has isn't something one can shoot a picture of. Even the doctor didn't x-ray it because rib fractures don't really show up too well with all that organ density in the chest area.
This week's injury is having the skin scraped off the top of my left foot. Probably from bag training. Some of the bags have rough edges where some of the exterior covering has scuffed and caused roughness. And so I have a nice weepy wound. It's taped up in bandaids right now... supposedly "covered wounds heal better than uncovered ones", if the bandaid box is to be believed. Not covering it isn't an option anyway, I'd have too much stuff stuck to it otherwise.
At least it stopped hurting like a bitch. I don't really dare take the covering off it now, as when I did that last night to change the bandaids it pulled up some other fleshy bits too. Granted it hurt before that anyway. Somewhere during the night it either stopped hurting or all my pain receptors there have gone into temporary hibernation.
Add to the list of invisible stuff the massive muscle soreness I have almost all over. Legs/ass area is partially thanks to trekking through the fashion district with Kit on Monday. Sore stomach muscles too, sore back, sore neck... most of that is all thanks to Wednesday's class. Thank you senpai Sergio. Hopefully I'll be able to move again come Monday's class...
