I wish I knew who the dipshit was that keeps trying to use our webcam. You can move it if you access it on the page, so lately we've been hearing the thing buzz around at various times during the day.

Unfortunately the dipshit in question doesn't seem to grasp the concept of the lensecap being down on it. I realise the lensecap is opaque and doesn't block out all light, but when all you can see is some greyblue blur surely it's not that hard to understand that the damn thing is not operational? It hasn't been on/open in WEEKS, but still they persist.

People are real dumbasses.

You could put little messages in the lenscap every day and see what happens :)

What you really need is something like the testpattern on tv painted inside the lens cap! That ought to keep them satisfied :) Hope your doing well.
