Yet again, the Sci-Fi channel outdoes itself by playing something that isn't Sci-Fi. Of course, it would still be good to have the channel here at all. :-)

No, it wouldn't.
Trust me, you're really not missing anything not having the Sci-fi channel. The only decent thing they ever had on was Farscape, everything else they have on is pretty much pure unadulterated crap. Especially the stuff they make themselves, their own shows and miniseries/movies. It's all ultra cheap, crappy writing, cheap sets, lame acting, bad lighting/direction/camera work.
They got rid of Farscape because it was "too expensive", instead they have cheaper stuff on which is just a waste of the celluloid or digital media it comes on. At least Farscape was worth the money it cost to produce, both from a story and production point of view.
