He called us earlier saying he wanted to come up here.

For those unaware of the weather conditions in lower NY state, we have a blizzard warning from Saturday noon to Sunday noon, and a predicted 18-24 inches of snow fall, of which a good 4 inches is already on the ground.

But apparantly running water in our apartment is a big enough incentive, as he finds himself without water at home, and with a Jewish landlord unavailible on the sabbath. The running water is still an incentive even though the only inflatable mattrass we have is leaky and we don't have much else in the way of alternative sleeping arrangements at the moment.

When I called him back to offer an alternative parking area, which meant he could avoid driving up a fairly steep hill to our house, he'd found a better solution to come here... via train. Definitely a good idea, as we live a 7 minute walk from the station, and it's much safer than driving. I can't believe we didn't think of suggesting it ourselves.

heh, our running water is coloured a light yellow/brown right now, they've been working on the road for months, and apparently recently worked on the water, it took a week before it started getting brown...a pipe MIGHT have cracked, but we don't know...

though, for running water, i'd probably try doing the same :P
