Well, not quite, though I'm sure stores will start gearing up with the pink and red crap soon enough.

Got rid of the christmas tree this evening. It was dry and starting to really look worse for wear, plus it did its job for long enough. Plus the last few days I've put off vacuuming the floor because I knew I'd have to do it again after moving the tree out. Even after vacuuming the floor, which will probably get a repeat tomorrow, we'll still find needles from this year in our carpet come next Christmas no doubt.

Did the grocery shopping this morning after a visit to the doctor. It reminded me why I don't grocery shop during the day, I swear they let loose an old age pensioners convention in there. I was almost expecting to find it 65+ for entry at the door. And it was hideously busy, and half the produce section had been raided bare, as well as all the chicken. In the evenings they generally have everything restocked, plus after about 8-9pm, it's pretty desolate and quiet which is nice. Flipside, it was extremely quiet at the CVS when I was filling my prescription, unlike trying to do that later in the afternoon, when everyone decides to 'quickly' do that before the pharmacy closes.

And life is boring when I have to post about strategic shopping times. But then most of what I've been doing the last few days is catching up on backlogs in various domestic tasks because I've been slacking off on for various reasons.

For some reason unknown to myself at this time, I thought that having a doctor's appointment at 8.45am was a good idea. This for someone who leads a more nocturnal life, where being up around 7am is hell on wheels and something that occurs rarely. But, there I was, up at 7.30 and feeling pretty okay, especially for someone who at 3am was chatting with the insomniac on the other side of the bed who had a slightly later wakeup call than I. Though I'm feeling the early start a bit now, and because more than likely the tv programming will suck, I might curl up with CaitlĂn R. Kiernan's Low Red Moon which I'm enjoying immensely at the moment.
