Office Space
Feb. 3rd, 2004 10:07 pmSo last thursday, while PreZ was off bowling I watched Office Space, because I hadn't yet, and because Tom and Karen were going to be at our place over the weekend and I wanted to be able to give the dvd back.
That movie so needs to be part of the curriculum for upcoming managers and execs. Whilst of course exaggerated to various depths, the fact that it's so humourous is the fact that most of what happens in that office is so definitely based in truth. Anyone who's ever spent any time at all working in an office can relate to something about it, to a varying degree. Though of course managers will be in denial about the way they treat their subordinates, but in most cases they're pretty similar to Bill... overpaid idiots who don't really do anything and treat you like you were some dumb drone and really have no concept about what it is the rest of you are really doing.
