Fridays

So eventually it became clear yesterday evening that PreZ wasn't going to be able to make it to ippagoggy's birthday thing, thanks to work. And I didn't want to miss out on Cherie's birthday entirely, I'd feel really bad for cancelling, especially on someone's birthday.

So I took daskreestof up on the offer he made earlier in the day to go with me if PreZ couldn't. By the time I was ready and had picked him up plans had changed and rather than a swing dance club in NYC or a tea salon we headed off to some café in Jersey which looked a lot like a grotto or cave inside. We had some drinks and food and conversation, and after that we headed towards Cherie's area to some bar to hook up with Keith.

All in all a good evening, and I'm glad I got to go out, and thanks to Kreestof for coming with me, it was very much appreciated, and I hope you had a good time.

Pity though that NJ doesn't have the same public area/bar/club smoking ban that NY now has, as I did come home reeking like an ashtray. Ick.

Automatic Teller Misery

So the ATM card I noticed missing yesterday has been blocked, and a new one will be issued. I had another one, because last time they issued both PreZ and myself 2 cards each, for no reason we could fathom. But as long as I can't find the first one, there's no way I'd just go on using the other one... especially not as it's a debit/mastercard, and so can be used as a credit card, and here in the US they're notoriously lax at checking signatures when using creditcards. So now I get to wait 10 days for the other card to arrive.

It's weird, because I think I had a dream about losing my ATM card a few nights ago...
