Feb. 16th, 2004 01:32 amSaturday we went out and had dinner, nothing too fancy, Italian at Goodfellas, which was very good (angelhair pasta with shrimp in a lobster sauce). Had a Smirnoff Twisted (Raspberry) with dinner which was sooooo good. Yum :) It was seriously like fizzy raspberry soda, but with a 5% alcoholic kick that you didn't notice. Why can't non-alcoholic sodas be that good...
Sunday was the goff ice skating trip at the Central Park rink with some of the Outings list, organised by
replicantgrrl. Much fun indeed, pity the ice skates were really uncomfy and chafed the skin off the back of one of my calves. Next time I'm going prepared with huge long and thick socks, once I own a pair. Met a few new people too, Jason who was very nice, and a girl with incredible red dreads whose name I didn't catch. Ami and Travis I'd seen before, but never really interacted with, so it was nice to do that, in so far as doing laps whilst clinging occasionally to the wall lets you do that :)
For some reason nature decided to whittle the temperatures down to 'not fit for human outdoor interaction' which was a shame. It was so nice up til Friday night, and it's been so blisteringly cold ever since.
ippagoggy got new holes poked for her birthday, and it underscored once again my desire to want to go get something new done. Not entirely sure what to do next though. I'd like to do my tongue but I'll need to go see a dentist first for some overdue maintenance, and I promised myself I'd get all that out of the way before I ever get the mod. At least I kept to my self-made promise of not getting anything new done until the lobes and industrial healed and the hypertrophic scarring went away.
But, a good weekend, and it was nice to do social stuff and meet up with several "new" cool people.
