Mayor Nagin certainly isn't mincing words...

http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/02/nagin.transcript/index.html

I don't want to see anybody do anymore goddamn press conferences. Put a moratorium on press conferences. Don't do another press conference until the resources are in this city. And then come down to this city and stand with us when there are military trucks and troops that we can't even count.

Don't tell me 40,000 people are coming here. They're not here. It's too doggone late. Now get off your asses and do something, and let's fix the biggest goddamn crisis in the history of this country.

I like this man. I like his honesty. I simply like him. Especially because of the "get off your asses" part.

Yep.

Kudos also to Anderson Cooper for his reporting... he blasted Senator Mary Landrieu when he reached his breaking point:

BTW, where's your icon from? There's a weblink in the corner that I can't make out.

Lol. Yeah, that entry keeps growing the more links I find. I was going to stay out of the reporting since there's so much of it everywhere, and just couldn't. I actually found it via a topic on GN.

I figured :)

I like the artwork. I must keep this artist in mind and see if she's open to commissions for things like GN merchandise.

Have you heard the mp3? It's so much more compelling than the transcript. I mean, both the mayor and interviewer are in tears by the end.

Here's a link (http://www.scarletarts.com/downloads/nagin.mp3) if you haven't heard it yet.
