Belated New Year's Resolutions

- eat healthier, the stock favourite resolution
- eat more natural and organic foods, eat more vegetables, rely less on meats, try to banish the corn syrup monster (which will happen mostly when cutting back on processed foods)
- cook more and rely less on quick and easy options like processed foods, fast-food and take-out
- start doing meal/grocery planning, this will help cut back on wasted foods, and make it easier on the shopping as well as deciding on what to eat... which never turns out to be particularly healthy when decided close to dinner time
- buy some veg cookbooks and try out new veggies that I've not eaten before
- use more natural products in and around the house, use less toxic chemical crap and try and cut that out as much as possible
- donate more to charity
- be more organised, in everything... get more storage containers, and look at storage devices for inside the apt. like extra shelving
- research this parenthood thing as much as I can
- be the best mother I can be, which won't start until mid-year or so

Date: 2005-01-13 06:49 am (UTC)You read Dooce, and you like Jill Thompson, you have such excellent taste :)
I've added you back by the way. Most of my pregnancy stuff is locked, which you'll be able to see now.

Date: 2005-01-13 06:52 am (UTC)I adore Jill Thompson! I occasionally torture myself by going to her site (http://www.comicbookpros.com/thompson/art_endless.asp) and wishing I had a spare $1,000 to buy page 20 or 23. Or heck, both!

Date: 2005-01-13 07:03 am (UTC)I so badly want to spend a few hundred and get her to do a custom water colour... of Little Endless Delirium and Barnabas or something :) Though I see she's not taking on any comissions right now, and I don't have the money anyway.
I also wouldn't say no to that $1500 red watercolour page of manga Death either.

Date: 2005-01-14 02:24 am (UTC)I didn't add exercise and weight-loss to the list because pregnancy kind of throws a lot of that out of whack.
It might be a bit sad that for a lot of these I've waited until impending motherhood to start actually putting them in effect, but better late than never I guess.

Date: 2005-01-20 01:53 am (UTC)Well, I have to drink a lot, but not alcoholic. I need to imbibe at least 2-3 liters a day, which is very hard for me to do.
