Peevity-Peeve

I wish so much that people who make websites, or who tart up their myspace pages (and $deity knows they're the foremost offenders in this case) would just refrain from inserting music into their pages.

Downloading isn't an issue, not since PreZ just got Verizon to up our FiOS bandwidth to 30Mbps... it's just that sometimes I'm browsing late at night, whilst listening to some music or playing a movie softly, and then all of a sudden there's this other obnoxious noise overlapping what I'm listening too, often MUCH louder than what I've already got on. With a sleeping husband and baby, I don't really need someone else's crappy loud music tastes forced on me at 3.14am.

So just don't, okay?

Certainly don't use one myself. Grateful for anyone else who doesn't, and usually comment on it as well!

MySpace is becoming quite the online place, yes?

Apparantly, yes. It's been hitting thet news channels recently because of young people using it to meet up, and that's causing controversy etc.

I don't understand the draw. Most MySpace pages are so cluttered and confusing, I don't even get what's going on with them. Call me an old LJ fogey, but I can't even look at MySpace pages.

The pages are okay if they're not filled with big placards and pictures of what people like and are fans of. Or have obnoxious backgrounds. Or have music embedded etc.

They're not my favourite thing to look at either.
