Went to see Shanghai Knights last night which was amusing, although not quite what I expected. The action sequences are very cleverly choreographed and impressive to watch. It was also amusing to see one of the actors from the British version of Queer as Folk playing the Queen's cousin Lord Rathbone.
I realised today that my copy of Poppy Z. Brite's The Value of X is missing text on certain pages... I just have blank pages where none should be. Very odd, and very annoying considering it's a $35 book. It looks like some kind of odd printing mistake... looking on the PZB LJ community and also her Forums it looks as though I'm the only one with that problem so far. Currently awaiting a response from Subterranean. Frustrating though.

About the Poppy thing

Re: About the Poppy thing
Date: 2003-02-09 06:28 pm (UTC)As for Queer as Folk, there's a US version of it too, done by HBO I believe, which I've never seen as it's a premium cable channel and we don't have it. I saw the UK version when I still lived in Holland, as one of our cable companies had picked it up and was airing it. The guy in Shanghai Knights I believe played Stuart, the dark haired Scot... Aidan something, I forget his last name.
