Okay, Myspace is a hotbed for crap, nothing new there. But, I have to say this is one of the more painful abuses of the English language that I've come across in some time. This person is 19 and lives in the US, and looks from pictures as though she was probably born and raised here... somehow, she seemed to have missed basic English lessons along the way.

Read and weep.

sinead o'connor is amazing and wonderful ok for thows of you how dont under stand why i have this video on here. it is because in a drimatic way she i teling us abawt an aportint ishow wich is chiled abus. her resun as i see it to rip up a picher of the pope is nut to say he is abusind childeren but tha he is the hed of a religin that is alawing it. nut exsposing thows how are. and mabey this would help you see as well see was abusd as a chiled.prumusing her self that if good gut here out of what she was living in that she would do eny thing to help him. so if thsts what you wint thuw then you hered a bawt presd using gods name to abus children. how wuld you feel. i bet priy shity i now i would. and this is all cuming frum sumone how dusent belev in a god. so if i can under stand pleas say you can

Topic aside, the spelling just makes me want to weep, and then proceed to find blunt objects with which to lobotomise myself with.

life i can chang so fased even when your waching it can jusd fly by. you wack up an youl be difren life jused wont be the same. maby it good or maby you cant look at your self in the meror eny mor. you looke on life can leve you. you cane be cumpletly lused. lused to nuthing feel like your gun. you need to fined you where ever you are. because sum times what you think is ent how you your. where do we all chang? then how do you now hwo you are?

I hope it's dyslexia or something...

I hope it is too. I don't think I have ever seen anybody butcher the English language like this.

Unfortunately I think alot of this kind of thing is the product of an uncaring and overtaxed school system. My cousin is a SENIOR in high school in Wyoming and apparently makes A's and B's in school, is in regular classes and yet, sends me emails like this:

Yea am graduating this year. I feel good to be a senior this year because to
find defiant colleges and college ships. Its is my lost year in high school
means a lot to me because of the time to have fun and have fun with friends,
Senior dance, football games, go to a lot parties with my closed friends. I
work at a McDanlds.

Love,
Kate

I think that just made the baby Jesus cry.

A senior in high school with A's and B's... aargh.

How in the hell does someone not manage to spell McDonalds right? considering billions of meals have been served, you'd think they'd have noticed the spelling on the advertising or wrappers :P.

Finding a defiant college does have a hilarious meaning though :D

Well, at least you can take pride in the fact that you are someone for whom English is not the primary language or mother tongue and you have a greater command of the language then the native speakers you see such as the example above.

And I'm http://myspace.com/personalglory on myspace. Feel free to friend me.

Well, I have spoken English since I was three, so I might as well be a native speaker really.

Add to that that I take pride in being able to use spelling and grammer properly in the two languages I command. I certainly don't do it flawlessly, but at least I make a concerted effort and it looks pretty good most of the time.

It just gets me, really. If you're on a text-based forum, how you write is people's first impression of you. I like to make a good first impression.

Ouch. Just when I thought I'd managed to avoid most of the hangover I earned last night at the Buzzcocks gig... I'm going to take a couple of paracetamol and have a nice lie down.

That doesn't just make Baby Jesus cry. It makes him weep torrents of blood.

That actually made me a little nauseous, trying to decipher that. I can't help thinking there's a tiny bit of purposefulness to it. I mean, how can you honestly spell that many words wrong and have it not be on purpose?

At first I thought "how" was just a typing error like "becasue" which I always miss-type, but then... oh the rest was just unforgivable!
