I'm not dead. But one of the computers in our network is getting there, and screwing up the network, and that's the main reason I'm not on IRC or IM right now. The replacement motherboard for the network computer should arrive soon.

My computer is also in dire need of a reinstall, which is such a pain in the ass... I hate having to sort through all the things I want to keep etc. and back them up. And then of course the reinstallation takes hours. So I haven't decided when that's happening.

Reinstalling... blah. I think I had to do it 4 times in the span of a week because of some issues. Sympathies? You have all of them... this is by far one of the most horrible chores to do.

Hrm.. I've not re-loaded a Windows onto my past 3 machines, since original build, including this XP beastie. Each lasted more than 4 years a pop (well, this one is only up to 2 so far).

This installation's been on at least 1-1.5 years now I think, it's time for a fresh reinstall. It's probably been longer now that I think about it, especially considering Dashiell's 15 months old, heh, and I certainly don't remember reinstalling while we've had him, or even when I was pregnant with him.
