1. Murder of Angels - Caitlín R. Kiernan
2. A Series of Unfortunate Events: 1. The Bad Beginning - Lemony Snicket
3. Four and Twenty Blackbirds - Cherie Priest (Re-read, sort of. This is an extended version.)
4. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J.K. Rowling (re-read)
5. Wings to the Kingdom - Cherie Priest
6. The Dry Salvages - Caitlín R. Kiernan

I read most of these in the first 2 weeks of January, the last week or so I've been working on a cross-stitch piece (which I'll show a picture of once it's finished and received by it's intended owner, who is a reader of my LJ). I could have read more, but so far I'm just glad that I'm making some strides into my To Read Pile.

Hahaha, yes. And we installed the lights ourselves (under 2 shelves are 2 spots that shine down onto a glass shelf).

LOL I have the exact same shelf and light. Only we don't have the glass shelf because I have too many book to display anything else. I only put the lights on the very top. I wanted to get the glass doors but I never got around to buying them. I'm bummed because one of my shelves is starting to bow.

One glass shelf has my Sandman and Endless pvc characters, and the other has my Corpse Bride pvc characters.

We bought 2 bookcases at once, the other one has doors on the lower half so PreZ can store all kinds of computer software boxes etc. (it's also in the computer room and houses text books in the top part, though it too has 2 glass shelves for his stuff). And we got the extenders on top. But even so, "my" bookcase is running out of room. It doesn't help that the bottom shelf is for Dashiell, as well as a chunk of the second shelf from the bottom, so that's less room for my books. Though seeing as he's got a habit of grabbing everything from the shelf and dropping it on the floor.

But we're still short on book storage space, and I'll be double rowing again soon (which I was doing before we got these bookcases).

We have 2 as well and one of the smaller narrow ones. I wish I had gotten the extenders. Don't you hate it that there never seems to be enough room on the bookshelf? I even sold most of my paperbacks when we moved but it is still full.

LOL we use the bottom shelf for L's books. I am forever telling her to leave my books alone though.

When we move to the new house I want to get all new shelves. I would love some built in selves and I think I'm going to build a window seat/bookshelf for L in her room.

I have thought of selling more books but I can't bear to part with any more of them. Although I did make about a thousand dollars just selling off my paperbacks. I've forced myself to stop buying books and check them out from the library instead. That was a lot easier in NYC when they had every book I could think of... down south it isn't as easy.
