I wish they'd release the 3 season box set they have in Europe/the UK. I noticed on Netflix that they finally released the second season here, but not the third yet.
Granted, I found a torrent of the 3 season box set and got that instead to tide me over until they finally release all 3 here. Of course I don't have speakers on my computer installed yet, so I can't watch it until we get this room sorted and wired the way geekboy wants ;)
The same thing bothers me about the BBC sitcom My Family... it's a hilariously funny show, but only 2 seasons have been released on dvd here (and we got them from Netflix). In the UK they've done at least 7 seasons. *sigh*.
I wish we could get more BBC over here. I don't even get BBC America on my sad little cable so I'm stuck with whatever PBS is willing to broadcast or my library gets.
With our new Directv dish we got a package with BBC America in it. I was hoping for something a little more like I remember the actual BBC being, but sadly it's not like that. During the day there's like 2-4 episodes in a row of things like The Weakest Link, or 2 eps in a row of How Clean is Your House. While the latter can be interesting to watch (in that trainwreck horror kind of way).
The evening programming is better. But they do like that American thing of having several re-runs of a show on that same night. A little more diversity would have been nice. But then more of the real BBC might not have gelled too well with American audiences? cultural thing maybe?
Probably a cultural thing, yeah. I've only watched the real BBC a few times while visiting Erik's family, though, so I wouldn't know that much what to expect, you know?
