Kitty

My brother informed me the other day that my cat Abby had made a visit to the vet after he accidentally caught her tail in the door letting her outside. Ouchie! Thankfully nothing was broken but she had a nasty cut that required 6 stitches. He was amused by her groggy wanderings from the anaesthetic, because she believed she could do things that are obviously not possible for a drugged kitty.

Ah, I miss my kitty so. This is the one thing that absolutely sucks the most about living abroad... leaving the loved ones behind, especially the four-legged furry unconditionally-loving kind. I worry more about her now that she's getting very old (16). Cats should have the same longevity as humans... in human years, or at least more than the amount they get now.

Unconditionally loving?
Cats?
You mean unconditionally loving with the provisors that (oxymoronic, I know):
1. I am sitting on you. Stay still.
2. I am hungry, that is why I got up. Why am I not eating yet?
3. I want to go out, that is why I got up. Why are you getting food?
4. I am uncomfortable, that is why I am ventilating your legs for you.
5. I am [insert other condition here], why are you taking so long to [insert correct response]?

Other than that, I'll accept unconditional love as relating to cats.
They are preferable (for me) to dogs though. If I want something that will do exactly what it is told (or just make a mess if untrained) then I will get a pencil and a piece of paper. I'm sure I have one around here somewhere.
