Caught another mouse. This brings the tally to six... three adolescents and three adults. I really hope this is the last of them because I'm really sick of the mouse shit that keeps appearing on the kitchen counter.

First of... Poor mouseys, they must get so scared when they're trapped, at least you are using the humane ones though.

Second... Poor you, mouse poo over the kitchen counter, *turns green*

I hope for both yours and the mouses sake it is the last one.

Well, they're "humane"... it might not kill or maim them to get caught with the trap, but it's generally impossible to free them from it anyway, so they end up dying due to the trap eventually anyhow... and generally things resulting in death aren't all that humane in my book.

Just had a thought, the way they die in the humane traps is not good to say the least, is it possible it's more humane to use the normal ones that (hopefully) give the mousey quick death, I do not like that option.

I want a Mouse-hotel to be made, not like those roach hotels though, A 'trap-house' with a one way door, and enough food and water to keep them until you can release them somewhere far away from your place.

With the destinct lack of wild cats around suburban america, this is just begging for mouse overpopulation.

I think there's plenty of pet cats that can make up for the lack of wild ones... even domestic cats catch mice.

Of course it didn't help that the upstairs people gave theirs away and within mere weeks the results were visible with a mouse family moving into the house.

The mouse escaped during the night after I'd left him in the garage to deal with in the morning. So the tally's back down to 5 caught so far.

Well, of the 5 I caught so far I set the first adult free as he was easily freed, and brought him some way away from the house. The 3 juveniles I drowned as they were beyond saving and it was "more humane" to end it quickly rather than to have them die slowly. The final adult was already dead when I discovered him behind the toaster... and the one from last night escaped again.
