So today we headed down to NJ to pick up some computer parts from a co-worker of PreZ's house. Had a chat with him which was nice, enjoyed some of the lovely weather (from the comfort of the shade). Of course we left with more computer parts than we came for, and we also found out that the parts we came wouldn't suffice to stand in as a temporary computer for Cherie. Maybe some of the other stuff might be able to help, but I'm not sure.

When we arrived at Cherie's house we found that she'd been whisked away to New Brunswick by the faeries... well, Katie and Chad anyway. So we couldn't help her out with setting up the computer she does have. So we dropped by Kit and collected him to go get some food. Apparantly nearly everything is closed where he lives on a Sunday which was somewhat of a pain in the ass... ate at a Subway and wandered around the street for a little bit, found a cute alternative store with a goth friendly proprietess which was nice.

After food we headed back to Kit's place, PreZ started to set up his laptop to install Windows so that I can use that after the graphics card gets ripped out of this machine in a few minutes to be RMA'd tomorrow. We watched Quills with Kate Winslet, Geoffrey Rush, Joaquin Phoenix and Michael Caine... great movie, unexpectedly a lot more funny than I thought it would be. I took home his dvd of The Affair of the Necklace and his X-Men 1.5 discs to watch sometime at our own leisure. Looking forward to that.

Other than that the toying with the Freda fanlisting layout will have to wait until such time as I have my graphics card back. Hopefully that'll be before the weekend, but I seriously doubt that... when do they ever do that stuff quickly...

Time to soak piercings and head off to the land of nod.

Yeah it is :)

Geoffrey Rush is so perfect in that role, he's absolutely hilarious.

Quills is indeed a great movie. I myself didn't find it all that funny (it did have some humorous moments though) but more poignant and all that stuff. But I really liked it...of course, I'm a sucker for anything involving an insane asylum. :)

Well the plot of the movie isn't funny as such, but there was a lot of situational comedy in it, a lot more than I'd thought. Just the Marquis being really out there... "Oh, you've come to read my pants have you?" and a lot of other humourous comments or things that he did.

Other than that it was poignant, especially to see how even those people around him still got corrupted in a way, and how the hypocrites ruled the roost.
