Moral Support

Today I get to be PreZ's moral support at his karate promotion test. On only a few hours of sleep. Yay. Always less interesting to sit around as a spectator than to be doing stuff, especially for 2.5-3+ hours, but there you go. He'll owe me a round of moral support for next time ;)
What doesn't help my mood is the fact that the weather is crap, and it's pouring down rain. Thanks Ivan. If there was any more water in the sky I think it would get classed as a body of water in its own right, not just as rain.
And did I ever mention I'm not a morning person? :P

Date: 2004-09-18 10:32 pm (UTC)He had to do 2 fights (which is pretty much full contact sparring). He got a kick to the ribs that has him quite sore on the one side, but he also managed to do a nifty sweep on that same sparring partner, and take him down.
He'll get his blue belt, of that I'm certain. He also turned in his green belt certificate a while ago, in an attempt to get straight back to his old rank, shihan wanted to see his kata (and probably other performance too) before deciding, so PreZ got to do some extra kata that aren't yet required for us orange belts. I think he did pretty well with that too, though I'm not sure he'd get green (which is 2 belts above blue).
He'll get his blue, and maybe if he's lucky, he'll skip that and go to yellow, depending on what shihan thought. Green isn't in the cards I don't think.
All in all a tiring day though.
