No sleep yet, mainly as sometime in the next hour I expect Cherie to come pick up her bag... the cat delighted in keeping me awake til just before 7am. Constantly going for the bedroom door, and when I kept her in this room with me she'd either wander around getting into everything or miaow loudly constantly.

Then of course by the time PreZ woke up and the cat was allowed in that room, she'd vanished. A 2 bedroom apartment, of which one bedroom was inaccessible and we don't really have a huge place or a lot of furniture. Houdini's cat. Eventually after about 10 minutes I found her... she'd gotten into a kitchen cupboard and was hiding out. I think she was pissy because I wouldn't let her near the bedroom door.

You spell meow weird. :P When did you get the cat? How old? My cat is finally starting to calm down and sleep with me at night... makes a nice foot-warmer! However, I have to keep the trash tightly contained and my toilet paper never sees the light of day... the things we do for the pets we love.

Nevermind me, the idiot, you're cat-sitting, hehehe. Doesn't this make you want to run right out and get a cat yourself? :P

Yeah, PreZ already made that joke this morning when I was complaining...

[PreZWork] "Oh! we should get a cat! we should get a cat!" ... heh.
[Lilith] PreZ: a cat, yes, just not this one
[PreZWork] and she wonders why I'd prefer a dog :)

I've had a cat for 15 years, and she was never like this. Apparantly she doesn't meow (happy :P) like that a lot, only when she's distressed, so I think it was just the seperation and moving stuff getting to her. I hope.

I hope so too! My cat gets kind of stand-off-ish when he's upset about things going on around him. He hid for the entire day when I put up the Christmas tree, and it's only 1 1/2 feet tall! Cats are strange. But they're cute and loveable... my cat's really great.

I guess this makes me realise how lucky I am with Abby. Never cranky, always friendly... can do almost anything with her etc. etc. Really easy to deal with.

Chestnut seems to have settled down, she's asleep or at least lying in the bottom drawer of the wardrobe in the bedroom... it's filled with old clothing and old socks and miscellaneous acquired company/logo tshirts that nobody ever wears, so nothing major. It's half closed so she can kind of feel secure in it. She's been quiet ever since just before dawn and the whole sneaking off and hiding in the kitchen cupboard thing.

That really stressed me out, I couldn't figure out where she could have gotten to, you know our place isn't that huge ;) Plus I knew Cherie was going to be here this morning... so nice going, I have the cat less than a day and I lose it already :)
