Now, in the interest of sparing people's friends lists of babytalk, as I know it's not going to be a topic for everyone, I'd like some feedback.

- I can set up a seperate filter for baby posts, so they're availible only to those who are interested.
- I can just cut-tag and warn people.

ik ben dol op kinderen en alles wat ermee te maken heeft (inclusief zwangerschap ;)) en vind het dus ook erg leuk om erover te lezen, al dan niet achter een lj-cut of baby-filter.

Ik weet dat er iig een persoon op mijn lijstje is die al langer zwanger probeert te raken en allerlei vruchtbaarheids en medische problemen heeft, dus om dan te lezen dat een ander zover is is misschien erg pijnlijk, vandaar dat ik het maar vast vraag.

Van mij mag het allebei. Ik heb geen voorkeur, ik lees het wel. Het brengt altijd weer herinneringen omhoog aan de tijden van mijn eigen telgjes.

Well, you know, not everyone finds babytalk that interesting. And I can understand that hearing lots about it from someone can just be particularly boring, one track mind in a sense.

As for the Dutch, I'll see if we can make a copy of PreZ's learn Dutch software.

I'm leaning towards just lj-cutting. People can scroll past. Of course, I'm leaning that way because I never log into my other journal (as evidenced by this comment), so I could just bloody log in. Or read the Weasley's flist. :)

Well, if you filter already... I don't generally ask people to friend both my journals, because I realise there's a great deal of disinterest in either one or the other. But if you can handle it... I don't honestly post in this journal that often anyway.

I can skip over cut-but-not-filtered if I'm not interested, I have a very active friends list so I skim a lot anyway, and despite my own lack of any interest at all in procreating my only sibling has seven (which well and truly makes up for me, I suppose) so I'd be in for it occasionally.

Incidentally, Lilith is the nickname I use on most online places (and is the name on my LJ info too as it happens), not a name we were choosing for the kid ;)

We don't know the gender yet and won't find out until birth, and names won't be released until we have the kid too.
