Blah di blah di blah
May. 25th, 2004 12:49 amI didn't sleep very well last night. I didn't sleep very well Saturday night either... Sunday morning/early afternoon involved lots of noise and running around and door slamming and sliding-door-to-deck-opening and noise on the deck stuff and music and talking from the upstairs neighbours. Me not getting enough sleep and getting woken up constantly is enough to drive me to near homicidal mania.
Early this morning, at like 5-6am or so we were woken by extremly loud thunder. It sounded as though the lightning was striking right outside the bedroom window. Partially it might have seemed louder because I was trying to fight through the sleep fog into a somewhat concious state, but it was definitely very loud indeed. It kind of gave me the creeps, but that was because I was still mostly asleep and my half dreaming mind was conjouring up all kinds of weird scenarios involving lightning striking on the other side of the bedroom window. It was strange because I love thunderstorms.
Karate didn't go so well today. I didn't feel very well, and I was tired, and that all seemed to culminate in conjunction with a warm and humid dojo. More so when senpai Eduardo turned off the fan. I got through most of the class, but felt quite bad, and eventually I just felt really horrible and ended up being excused about 10 minutes before the class ended (it ran late). I felt crappy and kind of faint, as though I hadn't eaten, which I had and not even that long before class. I felt better after sitting outside the dojo though, where it's also airconditioned, though it didn't go away entirely and I'm still feeling a bit weird.
We got our 'syllabus' for the white belt grading, which is a 2-sided A-4 sheet of paper, and the sign-up form for the summer belt test which is Saturday week. Should be interesting.
Tomorrow morning my dad will be calling me, because it's me birfday.
