A 29-year-old sex offender tried to apply to a school as a 12-year-old.

Not only that, this guy was living with, and having sex with, 2 other older pedophiles (one of whom posed as his "grandfather" to try and enroll him in school) who believed he was actually 12. Apparantly they were disappointed to hear he was older...

You couldn't make this stuff up, really you couldn't.

This sounds like something out of Brass Eye. :\

My initial reaction was "How the fuck did he convince two men he was 12?", until I read how he disguised himself with makeup and body-shaving, but even then the school officials could tell he was older than 12. Without wanting to sound flippant, you'd think two dirty old men with an unhealthy interest in children would, you know, notice these things.

I do find it scary the lengths a nonce will go to in order to fulfill their twisted urges. :(

Yeah, I know. I was a bit disbelieving of the fact that they couldn't tell that he might be a little further along in his physical development than the average 12 year old, even with shaved body hair. Plus, how do you not notice that it's shaved? Seems something that would be kind of noticeable, you know?

But maybe they were just too happy with the arrangement to look the proverbial gift horse in the mouth.

And maybe everyone was getting off on the fantasy... him that he got them to believe he was a minor, and them that he was a minor. I'm still not sure what he really got out of it, being buggered by older men... but maybe it's some bizarre coping mechanism to deal with being gay? or other issues. I'd bet money he was assaulted as a child anyway.

It was just the weirdest thing I'd read in a long time, and I've been reading a lot of Caitlín R. Kiernan's fiction lately too, lol. And she manages to conjure some horrific images...
