So PreZ and I are watching tv, some ad for a new Gillette razor, now with a whopping 5 blades.

Me: Soon you'll whip open the box and there'll be this huge block of blades on a stick.
PreZ: Soon there won't be any difference between a razor and a cheese grater.




Seriously. First it was a single razor, then the double and triple blades. Last year or so the new gimmick was 4 blades, now 5? Where does the insanity end?

Well first they'll increase to a giant chainsaw of blades, and then all the blades will be consolidated into just one blade, and it'll look like this revolutionary new bit of technology.

Hahaha. Funny you should post that, because a single blade was already my logical extreme too... after a gazillion razorblades that don't cut it, next you'd need the One True Blade that replaces them all ;)

It will end when someone nicks an artery in her leg/his neck, then someone will sue for "negligent and unnecessary blade usage," there will be a government inquest, protests, tearful stories of razor burn on the evening news, before they finally come out with the new, highly scientific, single edged, "safety" straight razor. :p
