Halloween pumpkins always amuse me several days after they've been carved.
As the pumpkin flesh starts softening because putrefaction starts setting in, all the sharp lines of the features start curling inwards a bit and the mouths sag shut some, and those grim looking pumpkins with toothy smiles start to look more like little gummy old men who've forgotten to put their dentures in.
