This person was a total stranger in the IRC channel, and within 5 minutes was asking random strangers for help naming her new baby.

I hope it's someone kidding around. If not, the parents are going to have to deal with a lot more grief, because no one is going to take them seriously on paper. "They named their child...they're stupid." It's that fast.

ye gods :/ She sounds very young. There's plenty of lovely, gothic-sounding baby names (Emily, Lily, Cleo, Zoe) that are out there without having to resort to Dementica!

On a related note, my in-laws' neighbour named her children (not sure of spellings, but I expect they were pretty unusual as well): Chalice, Manson and Militia!

I always liked "Lucifer" more than "Satan." :p

I have a good friend with an older sister named "Trinity."

As my friend put it, "She was doomed from the start. How do you grow up to be anything but crazy when your name is Trinity?"

Last I heard, she was living in NY with her husband, her husband's girlfriend, her daughters Summer and Autumn, and preparing for the Apocalypse. I only wish I was joking.
